Institute of Population, Health and Development (PHAD), a Viet Nam NGO – member of Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations (VUSTA) bases in Hanoi, is looking for international intern position as follows:
Position: International Internship (2-3 positions each quarter)
Program: Global Health International Internship
Duration: 1-3 months
Task: Participate in various public health projects which are implementing by PHAD in Vietnam including HIV/AIDS prevention and care, “Adult and Child Mental Health” project, SMS and application to public Health, environmental health projects for different provinces of Vietnam. The intern will have chance to participate in different project activities such as design and implement the baseline survey, data analysis and writing report, development of counseling materials, training materials, development of lieflets, brochure and audio, video using in the program, participate in different kind of trainings and field test of materials.
Requirement: At least undergraduate from well-known universities with specialized in public health, medicine or social sciences. This is training opportunity for young public health professional. Newly undergraduates or Master of Public Health students are welcome to apply. No previous experiences required but Native English is required. Applicant should have very good speaking and communication skills, love to work with with under servered population, ethnic minorities and vulnerable population.
Benefit: Opportunity to work with senior researchers and program officers in project managed by PHAD; participate in training courses offer by PHAD, participate in the fieldwork, data analysis of PHAD; Other benefit: the intern will be provided with working place, perdiem and travel expenses if participating in the fieldwork/fieldtrip. Salary: This position is not considered as fulltime staff of PHAD and no salary will be provided.
Applicants should secure funding support for travel, accommodation and living cost during from school or funding agencies before applying to the intern position; letter of support or conditional acceptance letter could be provided to support funding application. PHAD could help to find a homestay for the applicant if needed.

Fee and administration cost: $700 per accepted applicant.
